Profess- Race, Ethnicity & The Kingdom of God

  • Prince of Peace 5100 West Plano Parkway Plano, TX, 75093 United States (map)

Our world is carefully divided into ways that we label, categorize, and make sense of ourselves and the people around us. These differences can in some cases provide for a rich experience of the presence of God among us, and more and more often, we see these differences result in division and violence. What should we as Catholics profess in the midst of racial differences? Our Church teaches us that the definitive realization of God’s plan will be that “they all be one.” Sr. Josephine we will explore race and our roles as disciples of Jesus to extend and work to bring about the Kingdom and Reign of God’s love in the world.
